The design and operation of machines that sense, compute and act in physical environments.

Robotics combines hardware, perception, planning and control. Learning systems also depend on data describing observations, actions and outcomes. Data review should distinguish the quality of a recording or annotation from the quality of the robot's performance in that recording.

In practice

An accurately labeled failed attempt can be useful training or evaluation data.
