Task success label

Physical AI

An annotation that records whether an attempt achieved a defined task outcome.

Success must be judged against explicit criteria and sufficient evidence. A visible intermediate action may not establish the final result. Distinguish failure, uncertainty and an unobservable outcome where the rubric requires it. An unsuccessful attempt can still be a correctly labeled and useful example.

In practice

Lifting an object does not prove successful placement if it is dropped before reaching the target.
